Hi,
I need some natural grey wool. I’m a needle felter in El Granada (north of Half Moon Bay) and I’m working on a piece with only naturally colored wool (not what I usually do) and my sister in law has given me some different wool she purchased in Colorado, but I need dark grey to make silhouettes of pelicans.
So…can I purchase some of the grey you show in your pictures?
Hello!
Yes, I can put together some of our darker grey wool for you.
Let me know the following:
1. Do you prefer locks or roving or a mixture of both? I used to process the wool myself but found that I was never creating anything anymore because it took so long, so I drive it down to Shari at Morro Fleeceworks in Morro Bay if you’re familiar with her work.
2. How much do you want to purchase? Depending on the quantity and processing the price varies. It ranges from $5-10 an ounce.
Molly’s wool is the darkest but is more brown/grey. If you look at our wool sampler, you can let me know the sheep and year, and I can best find you the shade you prefer.
3. How did you find our website?
Thank you so much for reaching out.
Cheers,
Susan
Came across your name and remembered you from 2nd & 3rd grade at Sunset 1952-53…..would go with you to see your Mom at the Tuck Box after school. Glad to see you’re in the Arts ! Judy Spaulding Hooper
Sorry you don’t remember me – in 3rd grade, I saw a school psychologist because if behavioral problems …had ‘issues’ with fellow student, Jim Matney’ after which I was skipped a grade and sent to Santa Catalina …a real bummer for a while…
Hi! My name is Lillie and I am responsible for youth education programs at Los Altos History Museum in Los Altos, CA! We are having an event on November 2nd that focuses on the Rancho period of California’s history, along with Mexican heritage. I saw that you performed a wool spinning demonstration at Lambtown this year, and wanted to ask if anyone might be available to do the same at our event! Please let me know; I look forward to hearing from you!

Hello Judy,
I think you have me confused with someone else. There must be another Susan Shirley.
I hope you find her.

Judy,
I’m sorry I don’t remember you. Where did you say you met me? I don’t recall anyone named Jim Matney either.
