San Benito Open Studios Art Tour
April 20 @ 11:00 am - April 21 @ 4:00 pm
FreeEvery spring, artists in San Benito County open their studios to the public enabling guests to learn all about the artistic process. The towns of Hollister, San Juan Bautista, and Aromas provide a beautiful country backdrop for an afternoon art tour. A visit to Mosshollow Hill gives guests an opportunity to learn all about the fiber art process with Susan as well as meet other local artists hosted at The Hill.
Andrea McCann will be demonstrating her fiber art from her alpaca Fozzie as well as mixed-media creations including print-making and carved emu eggs from her beautiful flock.
In addition, members from 2 local guilds, Anne’s Web Spinners and The Carmel Crafts Guild, will be set up around the gardens prepping fiber, spinning, weaving, knitting, and crocheting all weekend.
This year, Aromas is hosting on a separate weekend from San Juan Bautista and Hollister so visitors can spend more time listening, learning, and, at Mosshollow Hill, doing as we will encourage visitors to try some of these fiber arts and join the local guilds.
We look forward to seeing you in our gardens and kitchen where Susan will be felting and dyeing fiber. Although the studio is upstairs, it will not be open to the public due to the difficulty many visitors have with navigating stairs. We will work with our visitors to ensure accessibility.
Mosshollow Hill will be open from 11-4 both days, so if you visit and want to come back to spend more time, we welcome you!
No pets please as we want to maintain the well-being of our chickens, sheep, goats, cats, and dog. Thank you for understanding.
