This nuno-felted shrug fits over the shoulders as the ruffles cascade down the front, sleeves, and back.
Loose armholes provide a a snugger fit than a collar. This shrug is a one-size-fits-many piece of wearable art.
Merino wool, silk fibers, and yarns nuno-felted to the silk butterfly fabric as well as other silk remnants create a ruching effect in addition to the ruffles. The only sewn aspect of the garment is the armholes at the opening making the piece light and airy on the arms.
The drape flutters and resembles butterfly wings.
Reds, purples, and burgundy are accented by hints of chartreuse. Be prepared for people to stop you and ask about this one-of-a-kind piece.
